Hard
to find filly: a granddaughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey, and her dam raised
exceptional cutting horses. Her fillies usually never leave the ranch,
they stay in the brood mare band after they were used in the arena. This
filly's 2007 maternal half brother is kept as a stud prospect.
"Luna"s
mother got struck by a lightning in August 2011 and the filly was growing
up as an orphan. She was supposed to stay at the ranch to replace her mom
in the broodmare band because Doc Cutters Glo, 1988 - 2011, was one of
the best performing horses and brood mares the ranch ever had. Unfortunately
draught forces downsizing the herd and she needs to find a new home. Luna
is halter broke and loves to come visit for a scratch behind her ears,
she is small for her age and will probably not mature above 13.2 hands.
She measured 12.5 hands September 27, 2012. She is very easy to handle
and a quick learner and would make a great project horse for a kid or could
go in the cutting arena with a small adult. Loves to be around people and
will stick around anybody who shows up in her pasture.
